Weekend journal.....

On Saturday I went to hokitika and we went for a swim in the creek and found lots of slime and then we went to the beach to have dinner for dinner we had fish and chips and subway.... Then on the way back home we stopped and looked at the Christmas lights on the streets and the hokitika sign was lit up

On Sunday we went to kawaka and we took the dog too and she swam, there was this tree like kinda high and on the tree there is a rope and so I swung off the rope and into the water and I touched the bottom of the creek which was kinda scary... then we came home.

On Monday In the morning I took my cousin to the swimming pool in town and we had a swim there then we went to the gorge to see the coffee cart and we got a KIWI DOG which is a one of a kind, and we also got a ICE BLOCK which is not one of a kind, then it got to hot so we went to the school and swam in the creek there and then we went home.

Christmas In the park!

 On Friday My auntie Picked me up at lunchtime and we went to Christ Church to see coca cola Christmas in the park. When we got to ch ch we got ready and went to Christmas in the park the warm up when we arrived at the park there was a white tent, In the tent there was Tables with pretzels and pringles on them, a coffee stand, a ice cream & Candyfloss stand, a fridge with drinks in it, A face painting booth, a balloon making stand and a all you can eat buffet!!!, we basically just tried to make balloons the whole time... and then we got home at around 11! and went to sleep

On Saturday We Went to the market and bought some stuff there and then we went for a swim at the swimming pool and we went on the hydro slide with my cousin and we also watched swimming sports from the swimming pool then we went home and opened some early Christmas presents and I got a CAMERA!!! so when we went to the real Christmas in the park I took like a heap of videos and photos and i took one of my cousin up close.....then we got home at 12!! and went to sleep,


On Sunday we had a 4 hour drive to hoki and then a half hour drive to moana!

If I won the lotto I would get my own island, That is what my dad said and sure enough he did.

When I was born my dad sailed around the country he found many islands but none of them were right for us.

People say he found a perfect island for just me and him except now it would be just mine.

My father passed away on a sailboat coming back to our town when I was two years old.

I don’t really remember him and I havent heard stories because as soon as he died my mum gave up on raising me so she dropped me off at someone's door step, she’s my mother now she was the one who raised me she has the right to be... but when I turned sixteen the night before my big party I had a big breakdown about my dad I told my best friend On the phone that I was going to go looking for the mystery Island and she promised not to tell anyone……… I packed my bags and prepared for the adventure of a lifetime.

Once I set foot on the doorstep I was bursting with fare but the courage was much bigger.

My Weeked!!!

On the weekend we went to hoki!

On Friday Makiaya had her birthday party and she invited over Tui and Eden, We had a pavlova cake and both girls stayed for the night!

On Saturday We dropped the two girls off at their own houses and then we went to hokitika for makiaya's real birthday! when we got to hoki we played with Ngarama on the bikes and we drove them down to the pub and then got a drink then we went on the playground and I got my leg stuck in the monkey bars! then once I got my leg out we went back to Ngarama's house.

On Sunday It was makiaya's birthday! and we had a mini party at Tylar and Makiaya's Nana's house, with cake, balloons, food and games after the party we went to the school and played a game there. when we went to Ngarama's house Phillip and Vincent were there and Phillip was yelling at Makiaya for some reason so we just went home!

On the drive home we stopped at the warehouse at 8:55 and we had to find shoes and milk and bread all in five minutes we had 2 minutes ran out and FORGOT THE MILK AND BREAD!!! so we went to the petrol station and got those two things and we got home at dead 10:00!!!

TranzAlpine Train Ride!!

 On 1st of November Ruma J went to celebrate Tranzalpines 30th birthday! we were picked up by the train at the moana train station, and were seated in the passenger carriage.

Once we got to Grey mouth we watched Grey high do their performance once they had finished we were asked to do our performance as well.

For our performance we did tutira mai
and The girls did the actions. After our
performance we had cake and hopped back on
the train for ICE CREAM! Then we went back to school.

Persuasive Speech

Last term Ruma J wrote persuasive speeches, Then we had to present them to our class mates. The feedback that my class people gave back to me said that I spoke confidently with a clear voice. Something that I found challenging was presenting at assembly because there was a noisy baby in the audience.

My statistical investigation

For the past few weeks ruma J have been learning about statistical investigations, a statistical investigation is a learning process that helps you gather information about your topic, our task was to go away and think of a topic for example Mary and i did how many times you can clap while throwing a ball. once we had an idea we asked all of ruma J Cameron and Eden if they could clap as many time as you can while throwing a ball then we made some graphs with all our information on it, put it on a poster and shared it with the class.

I was walking down the hall when I heard a voice scream my name

I turned my back and I saw nothing but a long dark hall, I started to walk down the hall thinking there was someone there and when I reached the end I saw a Little girl leaning against the door at the end of the hall the door slowly started to creak open but the girl just stood there. The door opened and the cleaner just walked straight through her. I walked away hoping she wouldn't notice

(Where are you going?) The little girl asked me

(Home) I Replied

(You can see me!?) The girl said surprised (Umm… Yeah) I said wondering what she meant

(Do you know who I am?)

(No)

I saw a old lady come out of the door the cleaner came out
(Maggie are you talking to humans again I told you not to do that after what happened last time)

(OK)

(Sorry I’ve got to go now) she said running to the lady
